The Heart of Regionals

BE PART OF THE ACTION !

 

Volunteers are the heartbeat of Regionals. From timing and scorekeeping to hospitality and setup, your support makes this event possible.

Whether you’re new to agility or a seasoned competitor lending a hand, every role contributes to the success of the weekend.

Site Set-Up & Take-Down Crew

NO experience required

Bring your muscles and help prepare the event site — set up  and or take down fencing, signs, tents, tables, chairs, extension cords, and agility equipment.

Competitor Registration

NO experience required

Welcome competitors, check them in, confirm Dog ID cards, and answer general questions.

Parking Attendant

NO experience required

Greet drivers, direct them to parking areas, and keep traffic flowing.
Assist vendors with morning setup and evening exit.

General Worker

NO experience required

Be our “go-to” helper — tidy up, move equipment, and assist where needed throughout the site.

Chief Ring Steward

Experience required * Non-competitor

Honorarium for work

Oversee the ring crew and course builders.
Act as the main contact between the judge and competitors.

Gate Steward

Experience preferred

Call competitors to the ring, manage flow, and announce jump-height changes.
(Must be comfortable speaking loudly!)

Timer

Experience required * Non-competitor

Honorarium for work

Operate the timing system and ensure accurate results.
In Gamble rings, adjust settings and start timing manually.

Scribe

Experience required * Non-competitor

Honorarium for work

Record the judge’s calls and times.
In Gamble rings, record points and note completion of closing gambles.

Scribe Assistant

Experience required * Non-competitor

Honorarium for work

Organize and hand off scribe sheets.
Deliver completed sheets to the Scoring Team and competitors.

Score Runner

NO Experience required

Collect scribe sheets and deliver them to scoring.
You will get your steps in here! 

Ring Crew

No Experience required

Reset bars, adjust equipment, and assist the judge as needed.

Leash Runner

No Experience required

Retrieve leashes and bring them to the exit gate.

Course Builder

Experience preferred

Competitors may assist sanctioned events; Regional events require non-competitors.
Set up courses as directed by the Chief Course Builder. Bring your muscles — first setup starts as soon as the ring finishes for the day.

Hospitality Team

No experience required

Help keep everyone fed, hydrated, and smiling.
